WHAT TO EXPECT
Upon entering Nasa Chiropractic, you will be greeted by our Awesome Front Desk Team
If you have filled out the patient forms on our website, those will be collected from you. If you don't already have the forms we will ask you to take a few minutes and fill out the appropriate forms so we can get the appropriate information to best help you. If you will be using your health insurance, we will make a copy of your insurance card. To expedite your first visit, it is best to call ahead with your insurance information so our front staff can pre-verify your benefits and to arrive with our online paperwork already filled out. Please allow approximately one hour for your first visit.
Once your paperwork is collected and your file has been processed you will be seated in our consultation room. Our staff will go over information regarding your insurance and our office procedures. You and your doctor will then discuss your pertinent health history and current condition. We ask that you give us as much information as you can about yourself, including any illnesses or injuries, small or large, childhood to adult. Please feel free to ask the doctor questions or express any concerns you may have at any point throughout your visit. Once your doctor has completed your history, you will be escorted to our exam room.
Your doctor will perform a detailed neurologic and orthopedic examination. Our examination includes tests to both rule-out dangerous conditions and to verify the cause of your problems. We take pride in our exams and strive to help you gain an understanding of the symptoms you may be experiencing.
Depending on your history and examination, you may require x-rays to better understand your condition and the cause of your symptoms. If you have recent x-rays or MRI's, please bring them with you to your 1st visit so our doctors may review them with you. We use low voltage x-ray equipment here in our clinic to decrease the amount of x-ray exposure. Fractures, arthritis, and degeneration are just a few conditions your doctor may encounter. Once your x-rays are developed, your doctor will review and discuss the findings with you.
Once your condition is explained to you, your doctor will give you a working diagnosis. Your doctor will then decide if he can help you. We want to make sure that our treatment plan will be both safe and effective as treatment for your diagnosis. If we determine that you may benefit from another specialist, we will help coordinate a referral for you and follow-up with you after your appointment.
You are now part of "The Team". Your doctor will then discuss a treatment plan with you. This may include chiropractic adjustments, physiotherapies, and exercises. Your doctor will go over a daily routine with you to support your success at home including ice, heat, stretches or rest. You may also be asked to avoid certain activities or positions at home or at work. As part of the team, we work with you to get you back to doing what you enjoy. Depending on your situation, we usually see our patients 3 times a week for your 1st week.
We strive to make your 1st visit at Nasa Chiropractic as simple and stress free as possible. Our biggest reward is to get you back to the activities you enjoy. Please feel free to call us with any questions or concerns you might have. Welcome to "our team."
